Alex Umbelino dos Santos is a Brazilian photographer based in Buenos Aires, specializing in black and white street photography. His work focuses on light, shadow, shape and human presence within urban environments, transforming everyday moments into minimal and atmospheric visual narratives.

Known for his strong contrast and documentary approach, Alex explores the relationship between people and the city through spontaneous scenes that emphasize emotion, geometry and timing. His imagery is deeply influenced by classic street photography and contemporary monochrome aesthetics.

Alongside his authorial work, Alex serves as Community Ambassador for Pexels in Latin America, where he coordinates and supports the regional photography community through photowalks, educational events and creative initiatives across multiple countries.

In addition to his street photography work, he also develops portrait and documentary-oriented projects with a cinematic and human-centered approach.
